04/28/18Annual Benefit Auction for orphaned children in Swaziland AfricaSwaziland's Heartbeat of Hope Auction...Swaziland's Heartbeat of Hope Auction and Free Dinner will be held Saturday April 28th at First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Sherman in Hutchinson. Doors open at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm Program and Live Auction at 7 pm. Admission is free but you must have a ticket. Call 620-543-6518 to reserve your spot by April 23rd (or pick up at Grand Staff Thrift Boutique in Buhler) Grand Staff Thrift Boutique, 215 North Main, Buhler, and the ministry’s annual live and silent auction, allow us to serve abandoned, vulnerable, and orphaned children in Swaziland, Africa. Some of the big items to be auctioned this year include a Green Mountain Jim Bowie Pellet Grill, a Branson trip, a Pajama Party for gals at Grand Staff Bed and Breakfast, leather motorcycle jackets for women, and (2) scholarships to the Colorado Christian Writer’s Conference in May.  Of course, we also have lots of food items, such as Dana Weast’s carrot cake and Italian Cream, the battle of the fudge, and many, many gift cards for restaurants and shopping. Overnight stays, décor—the list goes on and on!  Items added daily.  Check often at  The event is free, including a catered meal by Hog Wild BBQ, but you must have a ticket. 05/13/18Good Ol' Boys BBQ Contest and SamplingGood Ol' Boys BBQ Contest...Good Ol' Boys BBQ Contest is Saturday May 12, in downtown McPherson, during All School's Day Weekend. Friday evening, May 11, contestants for the BBQ contest set up and begin the process of creating the most delicious BBQ you've ever tasted, right in front of Hopp's Sound on Euclid between Ash and Elm. Saturday morning, the BBQ judging begins at 11 am. Public sampling to follow at noon, only $10 to try 10 (20 total teams to chose from)  different teams' BBQ. Get your team registered to compete by April 20th. Stop into Stupka Chiropractic to get registered.
