The Wichita Eagle is reporting today that Valley Center All-State basketball scoring machine Tyler Brown is transferring to Derby to continue his academic and athletic career.
Brown’s family has moved into the Derby district, which makes him eligible for the start of the school year. He will be a senior.
Brown made headlines around Kansas last season when he had a 50-point game for the Hornets. He finished the year averaging nearly 30 points a game. He also is a football and track and field standout.
Brown and the Panthers will be in McPherson in December as the teams meet in the second game of the season.
