Central Christian College’s volleyball team, in its inaugural season in the Sooner Athletic Conference, is picked to finish in 10th place, according to a poll of the 12 coaches released today.
Oklahoma City University was picked as the champion. OCC was 32-5 last year and won its second conference title.
Wayland Baptist was picked second, followed by Texas Wesleyan.
Rounding out the poll are John Brown University, St. Gregory’s, Southwestern Assemblies of God, Southwestern Christian, Mid-America Christian, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Central Christian, University of Science and Arts and finally Bacone.
The final regular-season standings will determine the seeds for the SAC postseason tournament scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 7. The winner of the SAC Tournament and the regular-season winner will receive automatic berths into the NAIA National Tournament.
