The motto for the McPherson Fall Instructional Basketball League is “learning how to play the Bullpup way.”

The longtime Fall League for youths in grades 1-8 gets under on Sunday at the McPherson High Roundhouse and continues each Sunday through Oct. 8.

Time schedules are as follows:

• 1:00 — Boys K-2; Girls K-3 (8-foot goals)

• 2:00 — Boys 3-5; Girls 4-6

• 3:00 — Boys 6-8; Girls 7-8

The league as always will be under the guidance of McPherson High boys head coach Kurt Kinnamon and his staff. The fee is $25 for one session, $35 for two sessions, $45 for three sessions, $55 for four sessions and $60 for five sessions. There’s a special family deal where a family can enroll all their youths for all sessions for $100.

The Fall League offers players the opportunity to improve their basketball skills in a learning environment. Players will participate in skill-building stations and in game situations.

Proper shooting form, ballhandling, moving without the ball, defensive positioning and offensive spacing will be emphasized.

During game situations, the coaches will provide on-court instruction.
