BETHANY, Okla. — Collin Duckworth has been Central Christian College’s top golfer for the last two years and it appears he’s going to make it three straight, but he might get a push from teammate Lowell Stephens.
Duckworth led the Tigers during the Southwestern Christian College Invitational that spanned two days earlier this week, but Stephens was right behind.
The Tigers had a two-day total of 631.
Duckworth shot rounds of 77-74 for a 151, good for 26th place, one shot better than Stephens (78-74-152).
Other Tiger scores were Matt Rettinger (83-78-161), Nathan Segler (80-87-167) and Doug Blanchard (88-95-183).
The Tiger women were led by Kari Kirl, who was 20th with rounds of 87-85-172. Other scores were MaiLeAna Bruce (93-82-175), Vanessa Warner (98-96-194), Sarah Gordzelik (99-100-199) and Summer Bruce (109-108-207).
The Tigers have a two-day tourney next week in Oklahoma City starting on Monday.
