SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Bethany College’s men’s golf team finished a commendable fourth earlier this week in the Evangel Invitational that included a cadre of top teams.
The Swedes had three golfers inside the Top 15 — Josh Meeks (8th with 149), Scott Farrall (T-13th with 150) and Jordan Della Giustina (T-13th with 150).
Other Swede totals for the 36 holes were Nathan Limbacher (151), Juan Carlos Garcia (153), Juan Pablo Sin (156) and Simon Bourel (164).
Columbia College was the team winner with 588, followed by Missouri Valley (589), Evangel (596) and Bethany (598). There were nine teams in all.
“I am very pleased with the individual performance of Josh Meeks,” Bethany coach Dalton Stevens said. “He continues to be a leader for us. Jordan Della Giustina and Scott Farrall also finished T-13th. Scott shot the low round of the day for us in the final round, shooting an even par round of 72. I was very proud of Jordan Della Giustina and how he dealt with some major adversity after the first round with a rules situation. He shot a first-round 77 with a score of 12 on one hole and shot 73 in the final round. He would've had a chance to win the individual title. We did a great job of bouncing back after a poor first round, to come out and shoot 294 will give us some momentum headed into our October schedule."
