LINDSBORG — All signs point toward a 3-0 start for the Bethany College football team.
After the offense led the way to a pair of victories to open the season, the Swedes play Saturday night in North Newton against a Bethel team that gave up 53 points last week.
That’s not good new for the Threshers, since Bethany has averaged just over 46 points a game in starting 2-0.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Bethany’s Isaiah Salazar is the reigning KCAC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing a school-record seven touchdowns last week in a wild 57-43 victory over McPherson College, which itself piled up well over 500 yards.
The Bethany defense is hoping to improve this week against a Bethel offense that did not score a point last week.
The Swedes need this one since they have Ottawa, Saint Mary and Sterling after Saturday’s game.
