The University of Science and Arts outlasted Central Christian College in a four-set Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball dual match here Tuesday.
The Tigers were excited after winning the first set in overtime, 29-27.
But the Drovers then won the second set in OT 26-24 before posting a pair of 25-22 successes to win the match.
Central had some nice numbers in defeat with Morgan Cook and Kasi Kraus throwing down 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Hannah Fredrickson was razor sharp with her passing with 40 assists, while Desiree Padilla was all over the court with 32 digs, one of five Tigers in double digits in that category.
“The girls played hard, but we made too many mistakes on our end and could not finish, Central coach Jeremy Manning said. "We got behind and stayed behind for a majority of the match, making it very difficult to win in that scenario. This is what we are going to face in the Sooner Conference, it's not going to get any easier from here."
The Tigers are 1-5 in the SAC and 3-9 overall. They host Mid-America University on Thursday.
