Swedes not ranked despite upset

Bethany College’s 30-28 football win over then-No. 15 Sterling on Saturday wasn’t enough to vault the Swedes into the NAIA Top 25.

The new poll is out and Sterling is tied with Tabor at No. 20, while Kansas Wesleyan is No. 24.

Bethany, which actually has a better overall record than the other three, is No. 29 as it received 7 votes this week.

All four teams are tied for the KCAC lead at 4-1 in conference play.

Tabor and Kansas Wesleyan square off this week, which should break up the logjam somewhat. Bethany goes to Southwestern, which has only one win. Sterling plays at winless Bethel.
