City officials will host public tours of the Community Building on Wednesday, November 15, 3-7 p.m., providing opportunity for community members to reminisce about past events and activities that occurred at the location. This will be the final viewing of the structure in its current condition. Recently developed renovation plans will result in an attractive, comprehensive building offering modern features to support overall community needs related to sports, meetings and special events.
The project is funded by a half-cent sales tax, which was instituted by public vote in 2012. Community Building renovations are scheduled to be completed within two years.
