It’s a busy weekend for Central Christian College’s men’s basketball team.
The Tigers will be home tonight to take on Manhattan Christian, with tip time set for 7:30 p.m. at Alexander Arena.
The Tigers have dominated the series, winning 20 of 24 meetings. The teams met twice last season, with Central sweeping the home-and-home series. Both games were close, however, with Central winning at Manhattan (83-76) and then completing the sweep at home (79-76).
This is Manhattan Christian’s second trip to McPherson this year as it edged McPherson College 71-68 on Nov. 1 after trailing the Bulldogs by 17 points in the second half.
The Tigers then go on the road Saturday for an exhibition game at Rogers State University. It does not count on the Tigers’ record.
Central, 3-1, is coming off a 64-57 exhibition game loss to Fort Hays State on Wednesday as it played the Tigers tough.
The Central women are off today, but go on the road Saturday for a 2 p.m. exhibition game at Rockhurst University. The game does not count on the record. The Tigers are 0-4 this season and their last action was Wednesday when they were defeated 92-55 by Adams State University in an exhibition.
