Central Christian College’s men’s basketball team needed a game like this.
The Tigers stepped away from the grueling Sooner Athletic Conference Saturday afternoon to play Ozark Christian College and it was a breather as CCC rolled to a 90-52 victory at Alexander Arena.
Central coach Tony Romero was able to empty his bench and give his main rotation players some time to rest. Eleven Tigers scored.
Central led 55-25 at the half, blazing away for 22 of 39 from the field, including 7 of 13 from 3-point.
Paul Ard II led the Tigers with 19 points, while Cam Martin added 15. Steve Kuminga came off the bench to add 12.
The Tigers did not permit a single second shot to Ozark, as all 23 of its rebounds came on the defensive end.
Central improved to 7-4 with the victory.
The game was the last for the Tigers before Christmas. They do have one game left in the 2017 portion of the schedule, an exhibition on Dec. 30 at Emporia State.
