Former Sterling College quarterback Terry Harrison has been named the new head football coach at Bethel College, replacing Morris Lolar.
Harrison had been the head coach at Wichita Heights since 2014. He was 38-16 as the Falcons’ head coach.
He was an assistant coach from 2006 to 2012 at Valley Center and was an assistant coach at Heights for one year before being elevated to the head job.
Harrison announced that Paul Kempf, an assistant to Harrison at Heights, and Larned head coach A.B. Stokes would be joining his staff. Stokes had been the head coach at Larned for the past six years.
In another coaching move, one-time Great Bend High head coach Tony Crough has been named the head coach at Hays, replacing Randall Rath. Great Bend was 10-9 under Crough in his two years. He was at Hutchinson Community College last year. He’s also served as a head coach at Andover.
