LAWRENCE — The long layoff obviously didn’t hurt the Bethany College men’s basketball team’s shooting eye.
The Swedes returned to action by hitting the century mark on Saturday in a 100-93 overtime road victory over Haskell Indian Nations University.
Tyler Larkin appears to be fully recovered from the concussion that kept him out a couple of games earlier this month as he burned the nets for 32 points to lead the Swedes. Thomas Hood provided a strong complement with 23, along with 6 assists. Reed Stephens and Mitchell Brown also recorded double digits with 19 and 10 points, respectively.
Larkin and Hood recorded double-doubles with 14 and 13 rebounds, respectively.
Now 6-10 overall, the Swedes return to KCAC action on Wednesday by making the long road trip to Leavenworth to take on Saint Mary. Bethany is 2-6 in conference play.
