ECJH cagers split with Peabody

ELYRIA — Elyria Christian Junior High’s A-boys couldn’t get much going offensively Thursday against Peabody, dropping a 35-18 decision.

Elyria had trouble shaking off the rust in the first half, scoring just 4 points, and could never recover.

Ben Unruh was most of the Eagles’ offense with 12 points.

The Eagles’ B-team fared much better with a 27-23 victory. Elyria held Peabody to a single free throw in the second quarter and just 9 points through three quarters.

Alec Huddle was strong by making 5 of 9 shots for 10 points.
